Been really digging Pentagram lately.  Early 70s doom, basically the american version of Black Sabbath who never made it big because their vocalist was a drug abusing train wreck.  But damn fine stuff.  Heavy as shit for 1973

Pentagram is nothing but a shitty 70s rock band.  Don't understand the hype this band gets.

This band wishes it was Sabbath.  Too bad Bobby Liebling is a terrible vocalist and the band has shitty songwriting.

Doom metal in general is boring as fuck.

Bobby is fucking insane. In a good way.

Also, as opposite of Ozzy who wasn't a drug abusing train-wreck? :D

A revisit to where this thread died ( :ozz: ) my opinion of atilla has increased quite a bit.  A big part of that is seeing Mayhem live a few months ago (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ2KPevU9pk <- pretty good sounding recording from someones phone of their whole set from the show I went to).  I was really impressed with Atilla's vocals live.  His range of extreme vocal styles is pretty nuts.  His vocals on the Deathcrush era tracks were an amazing take of Maniac from that era.  Some of the sounds he makes are really quite inhuman (56 minute mark on that link a great example).
